Description

You can choose one of the following 2 options Option 1 : Our driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Quang Tri citadel - The citadel is mostly remembered as the site of the Second Battle of Quang Tri in the country's resistance against the United States during the Vietnam War. Today, the citadel, along with seven other historical sites commemorating the Second Battle of Quang Tri is recognized as one of the Special National Sites of Vietnam in the fourth round of rating proposed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. After that you will go to Hien Luong bridge & Ben Hai river - during the Second Indochina War , Hien Luong Bridge and the Ben Hai River have been the “historical witnesses” of the country’s division into North and South of Viet Nam . Following the failure at Dien Bien Phu War, the Geneva Agreement was signed in 1954s . According to the agreement, Vietnam was temporarily divided into two regions with the 17th Parallel as a borderline. Next , you will discover Vinh Moc tunnel . Vinh Moc tunnel is an accurately a miniaturized image of a deep underground village. During the war, the villagers dug the tunnels by hand, desperate to hide from heavy bombing. There are kitchens, wells, and rooms here where families lived underground for years. Finish the trip , our driver will drive back to Hue and drop you off at your hotel Option 2 : Option 1 + Khe Sanh combat base & Ta Con airport Khe Sanh Combat Base was recognized as a ferocious battlefield where our Vietnamese army scored multiple heroic wins. In the minds of the US Marines, it is also compared to the ‘Second Battle of Dien Bien Phu’ or the location of hell on earth. It was the site of the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam war. Around this base, about 500 Americans, Ten thousand North Vietnamese soldiers, and unknown number of civilian bystanders were killed. Ta Con airport played an important role in the Khe Sanh line against the US army in Quang Tri. Ta Con Airport is considered the central location of the command and is also the place to gather weapons and the strongest soldiers at Khe Sanh. This place once marked the heroic feats of our nation in the resistance war against the US. Currently, Ta Con airport has become a famous historical relic in Quang Tri attracting tourists to visit and explore.
