Description

Explore the mangrove forests of Can Gio, known as Monkey Island, on a day trip from Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the monkey sanctuary, see the crocodile area, and take a speedboat to the Sac guerilla camp. Enjoy a Vietnamese-style lunch and free time at a local seafood market. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and head to Can Gio, known as Monkey Island. On arrival, visit the mangrove forest to see over 1,000 monkeys living there. Feed and take photos with many monkeys surrounding and climbing on your shoulders. Continue with a short walk to the crocodile area where local people conserve many huge crocodiles from the “American war”. Try your hand at crocodile fishing (optional) before taking a speedboat to the Sac guerilla camp, which was built in the deep jungle. Nowadays, the camp has become a major tourist attraction. It is not only a unique experience but also it helps the visitors understand more about the jungle life during the war. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before spending free time at a local seafood market where you can buy various kinds of fresh seafood and dried foods.
