Description

Weaving through the heart of Hue in Vietnam’s Thua Thien Hue province, the Perfume River earns its name well. At 80 kilometers long, it winds through fragrant forests, picking up a pure, fresh scent before gracing the city. One of the most captivating destinations along the Perfume River is the Hon Chen Temple, a hidden gem revered for its unique artifacts, vibrant designs, and spiritual significance. This sacred haven, meticulously crafted by devoted Cham descendants, serves as a sanctuary for the worship of the Goddess Yana. Standing tall on the banks of the river, amidst the picturesque backdrop of Jade Cup Mountain, the temple exudes an aura of tranquility and cultural harmony. Stepping inside, visitors are greeted by an explosion of colors and intricate detailing, each element whispering tales of the Cham people’s heritage and enduring faith Itinerary We will pick you up at your hotel in Hue city. Then transfer to the boat station. From there board a dragon boat and cruise along the poetic Perfume River. The tour will take about 5 hours. Along the way, we will stop to visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, a symbol of Hue. The pagoda is home to the Phuoc Duyen Tower, a seven-story structure that is a famous landmark. Inside the pagoda, you can also see the Dai Hong Chung Bell, the Dai Hung shrine, the main hall, the car left by the Superior Buddhist Monk Thich Quang Duc in 1963. Cruising along the Perfume River, we will reach Hon Chen Temple, one of Hue’s most interesting temples. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Yana, who is worshipped by the Cham people. It houses unique artifacts and colorful designs, and its location by Jade Cup Mountain makes the visit here even more pleasant. We will end our dragon boat tour at Minh Mang Tomb, a perfect combination of man-made and natural beauty. The tomb was built in 1840 under the order of King Minh Mang and is considered to be the most beautiful and majestic tomb of the Nguyen dynasty. The tomb is located in a lush forest setting and features stunning architecture. Returning to your hotel.
