Binh Minh Jazz Club

Started in 1997 with many ups and downs, Binh Minh Jazz Club has been a rare find and a very popular spot for jazz lovers in the city.

Mr. Quyen Van Minh, the owner of the club, is one of Vietnam's best-known jazz saxophonists. He has been teaching young musicians at the Hanoi Conservatory and co-operating with several other artists to perform jazz regularly since 1988.

With the love for jazz and the desire to create his own style of mixing traditional Vietnamese themes with jazz, Mr. Quyen Van Minh overcame a great deal of financial and resource difficulties to successfully make his club well known by many local and international jazz lovers. His dedication, commitment and his talent as an artist have earned him great respect from the artist' community and from jazz lovers all over the world. 

The main band of the club, Red River Jazz Band, has been performing in many international events with jazz artists from different countries including the USA, Germany, France, Australia, Norway, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Poland and Switzerland. The band has also gone on tours to Hong Kong, Singapore, Macao and other countries.

Binh Minh Jazz Club is not only great for jazz but also for its yummy food, good drinking and friendly service at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere inside is very cozy with 'jazz ambience.' Come here, have an upbeat fun night with jazz and you'll experience a different part of Hanoi. The place is right behind the Opera House on number 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District.
